PIT OF GOBLIN items and upgrades

Use items by job, not by an old price list. The most useful loadout balances light, navigation, carrying capacity, recovery and one way to create space from enemies.

Carrying and bucket upgrades

Storage upgrades are valuable because large objects may require both hands and ordinary pockets are limited. Choose capacity when your team regularly leaves useful food behind; choose time or light when the group cannot explore safely.

Bag / backpack
Adds carrying flexibility; community guides describe different slot upgrades.
Item rack
Stores equipment on the bucket between decisions.
Brazier
Lights torches and is reported to cook certain food.
Water bucket
Extinguishes fire on torches or goblins.
Bucket weight
Community-reported upgrade that extends time in the dungeon.
Gear
Unlocks lower starting depths in the descent system.

Weapons and thrown tools

The official store says items can be thrown as weapons or distractions. Community guides list spears, clubs, slingshots, crossbows, axes, pickaxes, daggers, bones and crosses. Durability, damage and stamina costs are not presented here because the available guides disagree or predate 1.0.

  • Keep a basic weapon for breakables and small threats.
  • Use thrown objects to create a gap, not as a guaranteed kill.
  • Carry ammunition only when the matching ranged weapon justifies the slot.
  • A cross is repeatedly reported by players as a defense against the ghost, but this remains community evidence.

Food, potions and special items

Food has two competing uses: it can support the goblin carrying it, or it can advance the King Queen feeding cycle. The official description confirms that eating certain items may grant a buff. Community guides report that some meat can be cooked for stronger feeding value.

Potions are version-sensitive. Community pages describe healing, stamina and damaging variants, but color and effect claims should be checked in-game before committing a valuable slot. The dice is widely searched; current community guides describe a stamina increase, but the exact interaction is not documented officially.

A practical early loadout

A six-player team can specialize more than a solo goblin, but duplicate essentials still matter. If the only light carrier falls or disconnects, the rest of the group should not become helpless.

  • One dependable light source.
  • One navigation or communication tool for the team.
  • One weapon or throwable option.
  • At least one free slot for food.
  • A recovery item only when the run or depth justifies its cost.

Quick answers

What does the compass do?+

Community guides report that it points toward dungeon entrances, which also helps locate the exit route.

Is the magic lantern better than a torch?+

It is better for sustained light, while torches can also ignite objects and enemies. Availability and cost should be checked in the current version.

What does the dice do?+

Current community guides describe a stamina increase. Because the behavior is not documented on the official store page, treat the exact value as version-sensitive.

Are item prices listed here?+

No. Available community guides conflict on prices, so the guide focuses on function and directs readers to verify current shops in-game.
