How King Queen feeding works

The official feeding loop

The official description says your task is to bring food out of the Pit and keep the King Queen sated. Successful deliveries lead into another descent, and the ruler becomes greedier as the cycle continues. That establishes the direction of progression, but Friendly Foe does not publish a formula for every quota.

After the expedition, separate food from treasure. Place enough food into the feeding flow before treating surplus as healing, stamina or sale value. A team that reaches the village with expensive treasure but too little food has missed the primary objective.

Choosing what to feed

Community guides consistently distinguish substantial food from low-value objects. Meat, fish, cheese, fruit and vegetables are reported as meaningful contributions; weapons, keys and rocks may be accepted but contribute very little. Exact points are intentionally omitted because current guides conflict and some values predate 1.0.

• Reserve high-contribution food for the quota first.
• Use low-value filler only when it avoids wasting a strong item.
• Do not eat the last useful food just to extend stamina.
• Keep a small safety margin when the displayed meter is hard to read.

Cooking food before feeding

Community guides report that certain meat can be cooked on a brazier or grill to improve its feeding value. Fruit and vegetables are generally described as non-cookable. This mechanic is useful when the team has time and the right station, but overcommitting to preparation can delay the next run.

What is the quota formula?

One January 2026 guide reports a first requirement of 15 and increases of 15, while broader guides describe only a rising requirement. Because Friendly Foe does not publish the formula and 1.0 arrived later, this site does not present that sequence as confirmed. Use the in-game meter as the source of truth.
